The Senate of Abia State University (ABSU), during its 272nd Regular Meeting on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, approved the rescheduling of the 42nd Matriculation Ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Eligible Participants:
- Postgraduate students who are not ABSU graduates.
- First-year undergraduate students of the Regular program and the Institute for Continuing Education (ICE) who have paid their school fees.
- Other duly admitted and cleared students who could not matriculate in their year of admission for valid reasons.
Matriculation Regalia:
- The cost for the matriculation gown, cap, and brochure is ₦15,000. Payments should be made at the university-designated banks or via bank debit cards.
- Payment deadline: Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
- Issuance of matriculation materials begins on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
Important Notes:
- Attendance at the matriculation ceremony is compulsory for all fresh students.
- Only bona fide students who have accepted their admission offer, paid their fees, and registered their courses will be eligible to participate.
- All attendees should be seated by 10:30 AM, prior to the arrival of the Vice-Chancellor’s procession.
This rescheduled ceremony marks an important milestone for new students as they officially join the ABSU community.
