Victony, the sensational Nigerian singer whose real name is Anthony Victor, has disclosed that he underwent his last surgery in January of this year. The singer had previously been involved in a tragic accident in 2021, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. As a result of the accident, he was confined to a wheelchair for approximately a year. However, in a recent interview with Tacha on Cool FM in Lagos, Victony revealed that he has fully recovered and is now back on his feet after his last surgery.
Expressing his gratitude, the singer stated, “I recently just had my last surgery. I did that in January. And thanks be to God, everything has been good since then.” He went on to discuss his deep-rooted passion for music, which began from a very young age. When asked by the host, Tacha, about what sparked his interest in music, Victony replied, “I guess it has been natural. Ever since I was a kid, my mom would tell me what used to make me stop crying is she would play me Blackstreet Boyz. I can’t even tell you a timestamp when I started [music] or when that inspiration clicked. I just always loved music.”
Furthermore, Victony expressed his intention to infuse elements of old-school music and fashion into modern afrobeats, aiming to create a unique blend of styles.
