Davido’s “Adopted” Son, Prince Uthman, Successfully Graduates from a Nigerian University

Prince Abdulmalik Uthman, an ‘adopted’ son of the renowned Nigerian afrobeat singer Davido (David Adeleke), has successfully graduated from Adeleke University with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Abdul, expressing his joy and gratitude on Instagram, referred to Davido as his ‘popsi’ (father) and shared photos of himself in a convocation gown.

Abdul acknowledged the challenges he faced throughout his academic journey, describing it as rough and tough. However, he expressed his gratitude to God for providing him with the strength to overcome all obstacles. Additionally, he thanked Davido for his unwavering support and for taking up responsibilities for his education.

In his post, Abdul also appreciated his mother for her continuous support throughout his academic pursuits. He sent love and remembrance to his late biological father, Obama DMW, who was a close friend and road manager of Davido. Obama DMW, aged 44, tragically passed away on June 29, 2021, after experiencing difficulty breathing. Following his death, Davido embraced his role as a father figure to Prince Abdulmalik Uthman and has been actively involved in supporting his education and other aspects of his life.
