Plateau State University (PLASU) Resumption Notice

Following the temporary halt of academic activities at Plateau State University, Bokkos, on the 19th of April, 2024, the University Management, in collaboration with the Plateau State Government, security agencies, and other key stakeholders, has conducted a thorough review of the situation. We are pleased to announce that the University will welcome students back on campus starting Thursday, the 2nd of May, 2024.

Resumption Schedule:

  • 200 and 300 Level Students: Resumption on Thursday, 2nd May, 2024. Examinations will recommence on Monday, 6th May, 2024.
  • 100 and 400 Level Students: Resumption on Monday, 20th May 2024, with examinations set to continue from Wednesday, 22nd May 2024.

Students can access the updated first-semester examination timetable through their respective departments, and faculties, or on the University’s official website at www.plasu.edu.ng.

Conditions for Resumption:

  1. Restitution Fee: Each student is required to contribute a restitution fee of ₦7,000.00 to cover damages incurred during the events of the 19th of April, 2024. Payment procedures are detailed on the University’s website and notice boards.
  2. School Fees: Only students who are up-to-date with their school fee payments will be permitted to resume and sit for examinations.
  3. Behavioral Undertaking: Each student must present a signed letter of commitment to uphold exemplary conduct, endorsed by a traditional ruler of at least District Head status. Non-indigenous students may obtain endorsement from a recognized community leader. The template for this letter is available for download on the University’s website.

Please Note: Adherence to the above conditions is mandatory for re-entry into the University premises and examination halls.
