Following criticism on social media, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has shared a picture alongside President Bola Tinubu in France. Previously, Gurustab reported that Okonjo-Iweala had posted photos on her Twitter page from the Paris Global Financial Summit, featuring herself alongside various African presidents but had excluded pictures with Tinubu.
The omission of Tinubu from the initial photos led to backlash from supporters of the president and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who accused the former Minister of Finance of deliberately snubbing the Nigerian president during the event.
In response to the reactions, the WTO director has now uploaded a picture with President Tinubu and other leaders present at the summit, aiming to address the concerns raised by the series of responses.
