Breaking News: President Tinubu Holds Meeting with Swiss President, Captured in Photos

On Friday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu engaged in a bilateral meeting with Alain Berset, the President of the Swiss Confederation. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the summit in Paris, France, which centered around a new financing pact. President Tinubu, along with other world leaders, participated in the summit to discuss the restructuring of the global financial architecture.

The objective of this restructuring is to prioritize poverty reduction, debt restructuring or cancellation, and provide increased support to vulnerable countries affected by climate change and the Covid-19 pandemic. This meeting marked President Tinubu’s first international trip since assuming office. He arrived in Paris on Tuesday to attend the two-day summit, held at Palais Brongniart.

Furthermore, President Tinubu was present at Palais Brongniart for the closing of the Global Finance Pact in Paris. During the summit, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the attendees and emphasized the focus on establishing a new financial order that promotes financial growth, aids developing nations in their energy transition efforts, reduces poverty, and respects the sovereignty of each nation.
