President Tinubu Holds Meeting with Akpabio, Sanwo-Olu, Ganduje, and Other Governors

On Wednesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a meeting with Senate President Godswill Akpabio and several state governors as part of his ongoing consultations on revitalizing the economy. The gathering aimed to discuss strategies for stabilizing the nation’s economy and putting it on a solid footing.

Among those in attendance were Vice President Kashim Shettima and Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Hope Uzodinma, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and Dapo Abiodun representing Lagos, Imo, Kwara, and Ogun States, respectively. Former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje was also present at the meeting.

Dele Alake, the Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, stated that the meeting also addressed the finalization of plans for distributing palliatives to mitigate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal. The presidency had previously proposed the distribution of grains and fertilizers to farmers as part of efforts to enhance food security in the country.

This gathering signifies the collaborative efforts of key political figures and state leaders in finding solutions to economic challenges and implementing measures to support the populace during transitional periods.
