UNIBEN 2023 Post-UTME/DE: Cutoff Mark, Eligibility, and Registration Information

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is set to conduct its Post UTME (PUTME) and Post DIRECT ENTRY (PUDE) Admission Screening Exercise for the 2023/2024 Academic Session. The screening will take place between Monday, October 9th, 2023, and Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at designated centers within the Ugbowo Campus of the University. This screening will be conducted using the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. To ensure effective preparation for the screening, prospective candidates are strongly advised to obtain the official Post-UTME past questions for UNIBEN. This resource will provide valuable insight into the screening format.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates wishing to participate in the screening exercise must meet the following requirements:
a. Only candidates who selected the University of Benin as their First Choice and scored 200 and above in the 2023/2024 UTME or DIRECT ENTRY Admission are eligible.
b. Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics (required for math-related courses) plus three other relevant subjects (or four if excluding mathematics), achieved in not more than two sittings.
c. It is recommended that candidates have a valid email account before starting the application process.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Applications are open from 8:00 AM on Friday, August 25th, 2023, until Midnight on Friday, September 22nd, 2023. The application procedure for the 2023/2024 Admission Screening (Post UTME and Post Direct Entry) is outlined as follows:

1. Visit the official UNIBEN website: www.uniben.edu.
2. Click on the WAEUP Student Portal.
3. Select “Register for Application” at the top left of the page to proceed.
4. Enter your Surname exactly as written on the JAMB Registration Slip, along with your JAMB Registration number. Your ID and Password will be generated.
5. On the WAEUP KOFA Student Portal, click on ‘login’ (top right corner) and enter your Username and Password.
6. Access the ‘Application Record‘ section and provide all necessary information.
7. To pay for the Application, click “Add Online Payment Ticket” at the page’s bottom. Then, select “Pay via Remita” on the top left and follow the instructions to pay the application fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) using a valid ATM-Enabled Card from any Nigerian Commercial Bank.
8. Preview and verify your information before submitting the application online (no corrections allowed after the closing date).
9. On the assigned date, return online to print the acknowledgment slip containing your specific Grouping of Courses for the Screening Exercise.

SCREENING DETAILS:

Candidates should take note of the following:
a. Check the UNIBEN website from Monday, October 2nd, 2023, to find the specific day, venue, and time for their screening.
b. All candidates must be seated at the screening venue at least one hour before the designated time.
c. Use of mobile phones and calculators during the screening is strictly prohibited.

Candidates are required to bring the following to the Screening Centre:
i. Acknowledgment slip
ii. Screening Invitation Slip indicating the screening schedule.

APPLICATION CLOSING DATE:
The application website will close by Midnight on Friday, September 22nd, 2023. Candidates who make payments after this deadline will not be screened.
