Video Shows Former President Buhari’s Return to Nigeria

Muhammadu Buhari, the former President of Nigeria, has returned to the country after his trip to London, United Kingdom. He arrived at the Katsina International Airport at approximately 11:00 am and was received by his aides and officials from the Katsina State Government.

Buhari had been in London for the past month on vacation, departing Nigeria shortly after leaving office on May 29. During his stay in the UK, he received visits from his successor, Bola Tinubu, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, at his London residence.

In a significant ruling, the Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an order demanding transparency regarding the expenditure of approximately $5 billion from the late General Sani Abacha’s looted funds. The court instructed the governments of former Nigerian presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan, and Muhammadu Buhari to disclose the details of how the funds were utilized. This landmark judgment was delivered by Justice James Kolawole Omotosho in response to a Freedom of Information suit filed by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) with the case number FHC/ABJ/CS/407/2020.
