Wike’s Special Assignment in Tinubu’s Administration Outside of Being the FCT Minister

President Bola Tinubu remarked on Thursday that Nyesom Wike, who currently serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), also holds a special advisory role for him. This statement was made during a reception at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where a prominent 62-member delegation from Rivers state was received.

Addressing the stakeholders from Rivers State, Tinubu acknowledged their concerns regarding infrastructure development, particularly the deteriorated Elementary junction-Onne segment of the East-West Road connecting the Port Harcourt Refinery. The President, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed his admiration for Minister Wike and emphasized that Wike is not just the FCT Minister but also an advisor to him, deserving encouragement from the state.

Furthermore, President Tinubu imparted advice to the younger generation, urging them to exhibit patience with the governmental processes. He emphasized his role as the nation’s leader and expressed a commitment to achieving significant progress in a short timeframe. He pledged to work diligently and sought divine guidance to meet the high expectations of the Nigerian people and not to let them down.
