The arrival of the Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, at the Nigeria Police Force’s Louis Edet headquarters has been reported. This comes shortly after his decoration by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the State House in Abuja. Additionally, IGP Egbetokun was present at the airport to see off President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who departed for a summit in Paris, France. However, it has been gathered that the planned Handing and Taking over ceremony between the outgoing and incoming Inspectors General of Police, originally scheduled for today, may no longer take place.
