Who is eligible to apply?

To be eligible for this scholarship:

1. – For the master’s program, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited university with a minimum CGPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 or equivalent.
2. – For the Ph.D. program, applicants should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited university with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or equivalent, demonstrating doctoral degree suitability, or have completed both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in a STEM field from an accredited university with a minimum CGPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 or equivalent.
3. – Applicants must also demonstrate English proficiency through TOEFL iBT (minimum 90), IELTS (minimum 6.5), or EmSAT certifications (minimum 1550) taken within the last 2 years (except for EmSAT, which should not be older than 18 months).
4. – For Ph.D. applicants with only a bachelor’s degree, a minimum GRE score of 3.0 in Analytical Writing, 150 in Quantitative Reasoning, and 150 in Verbal Reasoning is mandatory (optional for MSc applicants and Ph.D. applicants with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees).
5. – Transfer students meeting the requirements and guidelines are eligible to apply.

What is the scholarship duration?

The scholarship will cover the entire duration of the program as long as the recipient maintains satisfactory academic performance and complies with all MBZUAI regulations.

How to apply?

1. Create a new account and complete the online application form provided on the admission website.
2. Submit all required documents, including an English Curriculum Vitae, academic transcripts, English proficiency certificate, recommendation letter, statement of purpose, passport-sized photo with a white background, and a legalized copy of your passport (UAE and Pakistan citizens may require additional documents).
3. Complete the entry exam and participate in the selection interview.

What is the selection process?

Applicants will undergo an entry exam covering math, machine learning, and programming topics. Additionally, they will be invited to attend an admission interview.
